OOTD, Sherlock! (!Season Three! review), Kawaii clothes online!

Hello muffins!

It's been some time since I've visited my humble little blog :)

I've actually been studying A LOT. I've had eight exams in the past two weeks, but I'm all done now! FREEDOM! *rips shirt and tie off but not really because I have school on monday still*

Today is kind of a random jumble of things I've wanted to get through, first up, an

OOTD I took a picture of on the 16th before I went out for dinner:

Wow, okay. I didn't realize how fuzzy the picture is. I'll talk through it anyway.

First, I have on my cute little blouse from New Look, which I was going to paste a link to there but I just went onto the website and it turns out it's not there anymore. Huh. Anyway it's two sizes too big for me but I still love it. Here's an even cuter alternative for only £13.You know, you don't need to buy a special shirt with a bow attached, just buy a normal white shirt and some black ribbon! Same deal, probably cheaper and will probably save you some time.

Next is just a plain black long cardigan from quiz, I've had two of them for years (since I started high school) and they've got so many holes and bits in them now, but I still wear them@''@

I have my little black A-line short patterned skirt that I got on sale in New Look too, lemme just check... yeah no. It's not there. Here's an alternative though it hasn't got the cute shape. Disappointing New Look, you should be ashamed. It was on sale I guess I really shouldn't complain.

Okay, well that outfit of the day was incredibly helpful. Good job. *slow claps but not really*

Next, SHERLLOOOCKKK!

A quick review. You can imagine how compressing all of my feels into a quick review will affect my mental state, but I'll 'ave a go.

The first episode was full of laughter and references, both canonical and fandom-related. I was a little disappointed at a couple of things, so I'll get those out of the way first. Disappointment number one, the way many people reacted to their own disappointments. Yes, I'm serious. I saw more than a couple of people commenting on positive reviews of the episode with their own opinion, and don't get me wrong I love opinions and everyone is entitled, but when someone is there solely to bash the episode for no reason other than their own overly high expectations not quite being reached, I feel like this needs to be said; ha ha. ha ha-ha ha. You're miserable. For those who said they wouldn't watch the other two after the first, they were, in my opinion, much better and you missed out. Once again ha ha, ha ha-ha ha. You missed out.

Okay, now onto my actual thoughts. The only weak points of the episode were the plot. It just wasn't as strong as the other episodes but with so much to cover and deal with, I think I expected that so it wasn't too disappointing. Just seeing the two together again after so long was very satisfying, though I wouldn't count on that for the other episodes, luckily they were much more plot-orientated. Moffat was right after all - this isn't a detective show, it's a show about a detective, and at the end of the day the most interesting thing about the show will always be the two main characters. I loved the opening scenes and I think I stand alone in saying this, but I actually like that they didn't tell us how he survived the fall, I think anything would have been quite disappointing, no matter how amazing, after all of the speculation. Don't eat me!

The really strong points of the episode were the humour, literally laughing so much that it hurt, especially with the Sheriarty scene. Louise Brealey. I love you so much, but HOW COULD YOU NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE SHERLOLLY KISS? That must have been agony! Also, just while I remember, disappointed that there's no commentaries on the box set, they're always my favorite part! I'm more interested in how they make things more than the actual thing most of the time, like I've watched the behind the scenes of so many films I've never actually watched. I can't be the only one who does this!

Another strong point was the acting, Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington in particular. I support Amanda playing Mary completely, she's fantastic!

The second episode I think is my joint favorite (along with A Scandal in Belgravia). It was so clever, funny and warm at the same time. At first watch of all of the episodes, none of them had the same feeling as the past series, and at first I thought that was a bad thing, but watching them now and looking back I love the way the show is going, and I think those who are skeptical right now will be very surprised in the near future. By near I mean ten years time when we get season four.

The last episode was just flipping beautiful, oh. my god. The mind palace scene. And the music this whole series has just been completely to die for.  I loved it so much I've bought the album  well if I do well in my prelims my Dad is going to buy it for me. I loved the ending too, my boy is back:) I also love the way the two departed in ep three, like before it has always been so sad and dramatic, but this time it was so lovely and genuine, like I felt sad but nostalgic at the same time and it was just very, very well done. Praise goes to Benedict and Andrew Scott for the mind palace scene, Amanda for, well all of her scenes let's be honest, Martin for the Baker Street scene with Mary and of course... the wonderful... Lars Mikkelsen for EVERY BREATH HE TOOK. Perfect, chilling, stunning. Well done Sherlock team, season three was great.

Episode one was all the humour, two all the love and three all the drama. I loved them all in their own way, and I can't wait for season four!

Okay, onto something else.

Kawaii Clothes Online (UK)

I've seen some really cute clothes recently that I'm planning on ordering as soon as I get my new bank card in, so I thought I'd share it with you all first!

P.S., if you take my clothes like if they go out of stock because you bought them, then I will not be happy.

This week's website of choice is the mother-lord of Gyaru fashion in the UK! The one and only,

YesStyle!

This website is super cheap and has so much on it - basically all the big brands in Asia make their clothes available worldwide by placing them on this website. They don't have many Liz Lisa clothes unfortunately, I still don't own any despite loving it and sharing a name with it :( But, I love most of the stuff on here and I've only gotten to about page three or so of the dress, skirt, blouse and shorts sections and I've found these treasures!

Oh one last tip - a lot of the clothes on here only come in one size. I think this is to do with how in Asian countries the majority of people are a similar size and many shops cater to one size only as well because of this. Don't worry! Most clothes fit around size 6-12, and a lot of them do come in S, M, L and UK sizes too.

Click on the pictures to see the product on the website

These cuties are actually shorts! Yes shorts! They look like a skirt but the fact that they're shorts makes them so much cuter. The colour is so vibrant and the whole look has a sailor-like feeling, I think I'm going to pair these with my anchor patter bow and a cute cream blouse (what a shock!).

I love the pattern on these, it so cute. I love old, thick-looking vintage style designs, they reflect all the things I take inspiration from when I'm picking clothes to suit this style, like old books and 50s films. Also these colours match my skin tone particularly well! I had a hat in the summer that would have looked perfect with these but I lost it on the tube, sad times.

Shock! Another cute blouse. I can't own enough. I'll pair this with my skirt.

I mainly like the colour of this skirt, it also comes in apricot (it's orange basically, but I guess apricot sounds nicer) and it reminds me of the summer time. I thought this skirt looked really sweet and girly, plus light pink isn't always worn that often and I think it's probably the cutest colour out there! I've still to find a light blue long skirt that I've been looking for since I saw a girl in a K-drama wear a really cute one and she looked adorable. Going to hunt through Yes Style a bit more after this.

Okay it's probably quite small but if you click on the picutre you'll see it properly. This was the best picture of the whole thing on and not just from the side or of a sleeve! The sleeves are actually cut down the middle and held together by three bows - so cute! It can be dressed up or down, too I guess. I like how they've called it the "flower blouse", I just love it so dang much:')

Last but not least, these cutie shorts that come in apricot as well, I think. And a few other colours that are probably based on fruits. I love the frill at the bottom and the bright summery colour, I can't wait to get my hands on these muahahahaa!

So...

That's it really! If you are living in the UK or somewhere else that gets Shout Magazine, I'll be in the next issue trying out some hair products. I found one I really like, it's called the Toni and Guy deep barrel waver hair styler, and I loooooveee my wavey hair! Pictures in the mag, but here's a sneak peak because I'm generous like that.

I've also got reviews of three others products and this one.

Hope you enjoyed my little post. I know it's a bit messy and all. I've actually been blogging for about three or four years now, but I'm just getting used to this kind of blog and I've only started really getting into gyaru fashion recently so I'm still finding my way. I hope you can be patient with me, I'll do my best!

Until next time!
